Rustins Pure Tung Oil will give a hard wearing finish, with good infiltration into all types of interior timber without leaving a film.  A purely natural non-toxic oil, free from solvent.

With its special properties, Rustins Pure Tung Oil is suitable for kitchen work surfaces, chopping boards, interior woodwork and safe for use in contact with food prep areas.  Rustins Pure Tung Oil is highly resistant to water, alcohol and food stuff stains.

Ensure the surface is clean, dry, free from potential contaminants and sanded smooth.  If the colour of the wood needs to be changed, it can be treated with prior to oiling.

Shake well and apply liberally to bare wood with a good quality or and allow to soak in for 20 minutes before wiping off any excess. To help the initial absorption, the first coat can be thinned up to 40% with .  Allow the first coat to dry for 24 hours before applying further coats.  3 or more coats are usually required on bare wood.  Allow the oil to cure for a few days before use.

Annual re-oiling is recommended to keep the surface in good condition.  

This oil is ideally applied in temperatures between 15-25°C.  Do not apply if the temperature is below 10°.
